Hi, everyone! My name is Michelle, and I'm Allure Az's Marketing Manager. I'm originally from a small town in the White Mountains of Arizona until I moved to Flagstaff to attend Northern Arizona University where I received my Bachelor's in English.
I stayed in Flagstaff after I graduated and decided to pursue photography after going through the process of hiring my own wedding photographer. I started my own business shortly after in 2012 which is now known as MK Studios.
I first met Allure's owner, Taylor back in 2015 when she and her parents hired me to take her senior pictures. I instantly loved Taylor and her personality and kept in touch with her on social media even after she graduated high school. I followed her journey from the social media sidelines as she moved to Utah to attend schooling for aesthetics and watched her as she graduated, moved back home to Flagstaff, and opened up her business - Allure Az.
One day, Taylor asked if I would be willing to take some photos for her business which I was, of course, glad to. It was so much fun seeing her every few months to update images as she went from a one-woman operation to a small business with several staff. I was doing headshots of her staff, location images, behind-the-scenes images, and so much more.
In the summer of 2022, I approached Taylor about possibly doing a new website for Allure Az. Website design is self-taught - something I had to learn for my own business. I knew I could take her website to the next level and asked to take the project on. Between all the photoshoots we were doing and tacking the big website project, I was working a lot with Allure as it was.
At one of the photo shoots we had scheduled, Taylor was explaining how she felt like she could use an entire other person to manage doing social media, website content, and brand awareness among other things. As I was driving home from the photo shoot, it occurred to me that I should do all those things for her! I was already familiar with the tasks she needed completed because of having to do the very same things for my photography business. So, I called her from the road and proposed the idea.
After a week or so of discussing the logistics, we came to an agreement and here I am - the Marketing Manager!
I've already loved working with Taylor and Allure since I started. It's been great getting to know the staff and learning the ins-and-outs of the medical spa industry.
I would like to say, "In my spare time, I like to..." but I don't have any spare time! I'm a mom of four wild children aged 8, 5, 4 and 2-years-old which means my favorite treatment is laser hair removal so I don't have to manage it myself. I also love the results found from microneedling treatments. 🙂
I love spending time outside with my family when I'm not doing photoshoots for my business or strategizing content for Allure. I also enjoy reading, writing, and working out.
